Entry Fee: 4 USD

Min. Prize Pool: 250.00 WHALE (660 USD)

Your objective is to get the best winrate as you battle against 25 unique opponents, all of whom need to be Rank 11+ or higher at the start of the weekend. You can find your opponents in Ranked Constructed as you complete your Weekend Ranked Event or you can seek out the other event participants and challenge them directly to 1v1.

The cash prizes are estimated at around $500, with 250 $WHALE for the Top 10 and 90% of entry fees to the Top 3. But this time we're going to try something new for the Bonus Prizes. Whereas you need to pay to enter the event to win the cash prizes, we're going to make the Bonus Prizes available to anyone. To win the Bonus Prizes you just need to defeat the most players of rank 11+ in ranked constructed!

Entry fee for the cash prizes is $4.99, which can be paid in ETH or WHALE.

Bonus Prize list to be announced before the weekend. Event starts August 14th and runs during the standard ranked weekend period (Friday 12PM UTC to Monday 12PM UTC).

Happy to reveal the community bonus prizes for this Weekend's Duelist event! The prizes are:

πŸ₯‡ A gold Tormentor Fiend πŸ₯ˆ A gold Canopic Hoarder πŸ₯‰ A diamond Dimension Door

These bonus prizes will go the players who defeat the most rank 11+ opponents this weekend. These can be won by both participants to event or by regular players. The winners will need to contact me within a week to claim their prize.

Also remember that to be eligible for the other $500+ cash prizes this weekend you need to sign-up with me first. The cash prizes are for participants who get the best winrate versus 25 unique rank 11+ opponents (only your first match against each person counts and only 1v1 matches versus other participants will count).

Clarification of the Rules for Weekend Duelist

The most important rule to remember for this weekend is that only unique opponents that started the weekend at Rank 11+ will count towards your 25 matches.

This rule means you might need to be careful about leaving all your matches to the end of the weekend, since if you get unlucky and match-up against mostly low rank players, then you might not have enough valid opponents to properly finish the event. If this happens, remember that you can still try to complete the event by challenging your fellow competitors to 1v1 duels.

But if you do run out of time and you haven't played 25 unique rank 11+ opponents, then your final score will just be counted as-is (e.g. if you finish with only 15/20, then your final winrate will be counted as if it were 15/25).

I wish everyone good luck this weekend! Godspeed!

  1. People's starting rank on the weekend is what determines if they're a "high-ranking" opponent (i.e. Rank 11+). This should make it fair for people who play later in the weekend against opponents who used to be Rank 11+ but have since deranked. Likewise, it means that wins which didn't count against low rank players on Friday still won't count against them if they manage to rank up higher on Sunday.

  2. For the bonus prizes, ties are broken by the last person to get a win against a valid opponent.
