There are plenty of complaints that Gods Unchained has become an expensive game. However, with the release of Mortal Judgement and the core set refresh, the decks needed to succeed on the mythic level have become much cheaper. The decks I have composed in this article are shown in a 20 to 35 dollar range and the premium option of upgrading to a 45 to 60 dollar range. All the decks shown can succeed in mythic when piloted efficiently. There is nothing more satisfying than defeating a 1500 dollar deck with the decks below. These are great decks when starting out to help build out your collection through success in weekend ranked.

Deception

The best budget list for deception is the Hidden Rush aggro deck, often referred to as "HRD". This is a very strong aggro deck that rushes down your opponent with hidden creatures. The creatures are very hard to kill because the opponent is unable to target them and must have the proper area of effect removal in their hand to interact with these creatures. The first list I will share with you has an estimated price of roughly 21 USD. Most of the cards used in this list are core and mortal judgment cards.

The deck above works well in defeating your opponent. The way to improve this deck for a little extra money is by adding a Shade Walker to the deck. The card is not considered an auto include in the list but it does help to win several games that appeared to be lost. The card can do high amounts of damage while hidden and may connect several times. The final and best deck for under 50 USD would be the deck seen below.

Nature

Nature has historically been known as the Free- to- play deck of choice. The deck uses high stat creatures to gain control of the board and overwhelm your opponent. A high majority of the cards in a strong aggro nature list are core cards. This makes nature one of the most affordable decks for a Free-to-Play player. The deck list below is estimated at roughly 32 USD.

The decklist above can be improved by adding Finnian Fruitbearer to the list. Finnian allows you to swarm the board early and puts your opponent in a difficult position of having to manage their limited mana. The card is a strong addition to any aggro nature list. The deck is still estimated to be under 50 USD with the addition of this card. This makes the deck one of the most affordable when climbing the ranks.

Light

The Light Aggro deck is considered by many top players as the strongest aggro deck in the game right now. This deck is very strong at controlling the board early with inexpensive creatures that buff each other. Once the Light deck has full control of the board, there are only a limited number of ways in the game to be able to get it back . Typically the opponent does not have the mana to fully handle the board of the light player in the early stages of the game. By the time the opponent is able to win back the board, it is usually too late. The list shown below is a 25 USD budget option that will have no difficulty defeating opponents.

The key upgrade to the deck is Sern, the Moderator. This card is truly one of a kind. There is no replacement for Sern in any light list. Card draw, Tempo, Stats, heal, all in a four mana cost card. Sern is one of the best cards in the game and worth upgrading to if possible. The total light list below is still estimated to be a modest 40 USD. The deck packs quite a punch and is tough to deal with when played properly.

War

Aggro war , also known as "Face War", has historically been a strong free to play deck . The deck can always find a way to get there against almost any opponent. This is mainly due to the Slayer god power available to them. The deck aims to reduce your opponent's health to zero before they are able to fight back for the board. With an estimated cost of 18 USD, this is definitely one of the most affordable decks to be playing on ladder.

The deck can be moderately improved by adding one of the stickiest two mana cost creatures in the game. The Master Tactician is a key card to help you fight for early board control. It also helps to get over frontline to finish off your opponent. This is a solid addition in any aggro war deck. This addition pushes the deck to approximately 40 USD. This is a very strong and affordable aggro deck to play in the current meta.

Death

Death has two different options for strong budget decks. Anubian aggro and Zombie aggro both have their place in the meta. The zombie list is a cheaper option of the two. The fully built list below is only estimated at around 18 USD. When left unchecked, this deck aims to aggro your opponent down and snowball with a board that continues to replenish itself

img

The other, more premium option is the Anubian Aggro Deck. The deck aims to continually play Anubians while reducing your opponents health is reduced to 0 .Skull Scepter, Priestess of Takhat, and Raving Necromancer all act as a catalyst to increase the damage done to your opponent. This deck frustrates even the most seasoned of players. If the opponent does not have a void hate or relic removal in their deck, they are in for a frustrating and unpleasant game. Skull Scepter and Untold greed are at the more premium of price points when building the lists. Together as a whole, the list is estimated to be just under 60 dollars.

Magic

If you are not a fan of aggro and would like to play a budget control deck, look no further. Magic control is the most solid control deck that can be built on a budget. The budget deck below aims to quickly ramp your mana with Crystaltech Scholar so higher mana creatures can be played much earlier. With strong clears like Unbound Flames, most aggro decks cannot stand a chance. The deck is estimated at around 27 USD and is the best control deck for the price.

img

Lastly, the deck below is the combo magic deck. This deck can One-Turn-Kill your appointment when set up appropriately. Arcane burst with reduced mana cost on Pyrrhic Knowledge lethals your opponent from 30 health. This deck is very fun to play and will frustrate your opponent if they are playing control. The deck is priced at 40 dollars with the most expensive cards being Pyrrhic Knowledge. Pyrrhic Knowledge is one of the best cards in the game right now for magic and is not a target for any balance changes. This is a great buy going forward.
